Source: Flickr/Martinez Julian Today is November 30th, meaning that the Year is almost over, but the Hurricane Season is Done! Source: Flickr/Martinez Julian Every Meteorological Society, including myself predicts an Above Hurricane Season, mainly due to what happened to the 2012 Hurricane Season with the whole Sandy/Global Warming Scenario. Andrea/Jumbo Shrimp Comparison (Source: Wunderground/Dr. Jeff Masters) So far, there are only 13 Named Storms, 2 Hurricanes, and 0 Major Hurricanes in the Atlantic with Humberto and Ingrid as the 2 Hurricanes. The Eastern Pacific have 18 Named Storms, 7 Hurricanes, and 1 Major Hurricane (i.e. Raymond). The Biggest Story of the 2013 Hurricane Season is from the Western Pacific, with lots of Typhoons including Utor, Francisco, Wipha, and Haiyan, which devastated The Philippines Super Typhoon Haiyan making Landfall in The Philippines (Source: NOAA) And Don't Forget Cyclone Philian, or Very Severe Cyclonic Philian, said by Wikipedia, devastated India, as an Equivalent of a Category 4 or 5 Storm Philian making Landfall (Source: NOAA) My Final Words to the 2013 Hurricane Season..."Worst...Season...Ever!" See you in 2014!
